Syarhil Qur’an and Digital Literacy: A Strategic Approach to Combating Fake Diplomas
Main Article Content
Abstract
The proliferation of fake diplomas represents a systemic white-collar crime undermining Indonesia’s academic integrity and public trust. While positive laws exist, penal approaches alone prove insufficient in curbing this moral degradation. This study proposes Syarhil Qur’an a branch of Musabaqah combining recitation, poetic translation, and rhetorical analysis as a strategic digital literacy instrument. Utilizing qualitative library research with normative juridical and bibliometric approaches (2021–2025), this research synthesizes state law with Maqasid Syariah principles. The findings reveal that the triadic structure of Syarhil Qur’an effectively constructs a counter-narrative against academic fraud by integrating logical legal arguments with spiritual Tabayyun (verification) values. Consequently, transforming Syarhil into digital content like visual podcasts enhances public ethical competence. This research concludes that synchronizing strict legal enforcement with theological education creates a holistic defense mechanism, urging a cultural shift from transactional education toward authentic intellectual integrity within the complex modern digital ecosystem.
